Benamor

Designed by Sir Henry Cotton, Benamor was the first course built east of Faro in the Algarve. There are views to the Atlantic and Tavira Island to the south and towards the hills and valleys in the north.

Always maintained to a high standard, many of the par 4’s on the front nine are relatively short, so this course is friendly to all playing levels. On the back nine, water comes into play on the 10th hole, a par 3 over water, on the 13th where a stream crosses the fairway and on the 17th where a pond guards the green. To finish, there is a long par 5 of 512 metres. The 18th green is backed by a charming Algarvean church, another pretty spot to enjoy.

After your round enjoy a few drinks and a snack at the friendly clubhouse.

Quina da Cima

This new sister course to Quinta da Ria is a spectacular 18 hole golf course located within the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve. There are views of the sea and mountains from anywhere along the course.

Many of the holes are dog-legs, greens are protected b bunkers and lakes, particularly the last three finishing holes. The main feature is the stream that meanders through the course presenting a hazard from the tees.

A great test of golf and enjoyable challenge for most players.

Quinta da Ria

Quinta da Ria is the first of the two Par 72 courses set in a beautiful location on the coast of the Eastern Algarve.

The course is situated next to the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and although a little shorter that its sister, Quinta de Cima, it is set in a beautiful location with stunning views over the Ria Formosa estuary.

The course is always in great condition and there are some excellently designed holes. The Par 4 10th demands a long drive and the further left you can keep it will give you the shortest route over the lake to get to the green. The Par 5 16th with lakes on both sides of a narrow fairway, one of which also hugs the green, will particularly test your accuracy as you come to the end of your round of this lovely course.

Castro Marim

Castro Marim is well liked by all golfers ranging from the low to high handicappers.

Located close to the historic town of Castro Marim (complete with medieval castle) the course runs through undulating hills dotted with pines and breathtaking views across the River Guadiana to neighbouring Spain. It is very much an up and down course and we would recommend a buggy for the “faint hearted”.

Although it is a fairly short course (5265 metres off the whites), Castro Marim calls for careful (and straight) play off the trees, with strategically placed water hazards and fairway terrain that can place you in trouble. This is not to mention the well placed bunkers waiting for an erring ball. In addition most shots to the shorter par 5’s and 4’s on the course are uphill so club selection is very important.

The 19th hole clubhouse offers a very friendly finish to your round where there is an excellent variety of food and drink on offer. The clubhouse is styled on a medieval castle and offers fantastic facilities.

An enjoyable test of golf for all levels of golfer.
